I read that of 478 current offshore leases issued 478 were under litigation by environmentalist groups. Without legislation such as no legislation on perceived problems. That is cases can only be filed after projects begin and actual data is available about a problem evolving. Then remedies should be limited to the problem, only if it outweighs the public good of the project.

It is clear that the house bill is only a cynical political move to distract the USA citizen. While polls show 80% of all Americans, regardless of political party want more oil production, the Democratic House passes a bill that almost guarantees there will be no increase in oil production. Jefferson warned us about the elitist gaining control of the ideology of the country.

Jefferson said if the people don't understand you may teach them, but you cannot dictate to them, that is tyranny.

Your representatives are treating you as if you are ultimately STUPID and un-informed.

They totally ignore the discussion of our security both strategically and economically if we don't produce more of our own energy. Unbelievably many Dem/Libs actually believe that releasing the 90% of oil exploration we are prohibiting will only produce a "TINY BIT" of oil. As much as inflating your tires. Even if we believe inflating your tires can save 800,000 barrels a day, ANWR alone would produce that much. Prudoe bay produces 800,000 now and 1.3million originally. A reasonable 4 good strikes could produce 3million barrels a day or double our current production.

Every one is in favor of alternate energy. But not expensive alternate energy. Huge subsidies will only disco rage aggressive research to reduce the costs of solar and other alternatives.

I have given up on any idea that these egotistical self-grandiose politicians will bend to the will of the people.

THE ONLY TRUE SOLUTION IS TO ELECT REPRESENTATIVES PLEDGED TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR WILL.

1) 10 year suspension of law suits before drilling, law suits allowed only about actual treats that are occurring, not hypothetical.

2) Revenue sharing mandatory at a prescribed rate for citizens of state that has jurisdiction.

4) Open bidding that allows some leases to go to new and smaller companies. That is any single company can only accumulate so many leases. Lease holders must make a commitment to explore and develop resources. A company can only own a limited number of undeveloped leases.

5) Any restrictions on enhancing recovery should be limited, such as steam or other injections.

If we vote in these representatives that won't put USA security and prosperity first, then we will deserve the next generation of economical strife we face.

UNDERSTAND that if our energy costs more than the rest of the world, by subsidizing Solar and Wind and other alternatives which costs significantly more, we will compete economically at a huge disadvantage. This will cost us our future, jobs, eventually high taxes and lose us our position as a world super power.

I support some subsidies for research, but not for production which guarantees a non-competitive environment in the USA.

VOTE THOSE WHO DON'T PUT USA FIRST... OUT.

PELOSI AND REID...ENVISIONALIZE OPEC BOYCOTTING THE USA. IF THAT DOS NT SCARE YOU INTO ACTION THEN WHAT WOULD? PELOSI AND REID ALREADY UNDERSTAND THIS AND ARE WILLING TO RISK OUR COUNTRY TO SATISFY THEIR LOBBYIST'S AND THEIR PERSONAL IDEOLOGIES. MIND BOGGLING.

The only real pressure we can apply is at the ballot box, make no mistake, your opinion means nothing to them
